1. How The Programme Works
Welcome to the Metro Fibre Networx Proprietary Limited ("MetroFibre") Refer-and-Earn Programme! This Programme is designed to reward our loyal customers for recommending us to their peers. Here's how it works:
Registration: Sign up for the Refer-and-Earn Programme through one of our designated platforms: the MetroFibre Mobile App, the Customer Portal – My MetroFibre, or via the Refer-and-Earn email link provided by MetroFibre.
Share Your Link: Once registered, you'll receive a unique Refer-and-Earn link. Share this link with your friends, family, and peers who may be interested in MetroFibre's FTTH services.
Invite Your Contacts: Encourage your contacts to request a quote from MetroFibre using your referral link.
Successful Referrals: When someone you referred signs up for MetroFibre FTTH services and completes the necessary actions, you'll be eligible for rewards.
2. A Referral Is
A referral is counted when someone you referred is eligible for MetroFibre FTTH services (meaning they must be on the MetroFibre network), signs up, and activates a month-to-month service as a direct customer (where MetroFibre is the ISP (Internet Service Provider) and FNO (Fibre Network Operator).
3. Rewards And Offers
As a token of our appreciation for your referrals, we offer a credit of R400 (including VAT) to be credited to your customer account with MetroFibre for each successful referral.
4. Issuing Of Rewards And Offers
Rewards will be issued to you, the referring customer, after activation of the service, subject to MetroFibre receiving payment for the first invoice from the person you referred. The credit will be allocated to your monthly statement with MetroFibre.
5. Privacy
All personal information collected and processed as part of this Refer-and-Earn Programme will be used in accordance with MetroFibre's Privacy Policy, available at this link.
6. General
By participating in the MetroFibre Refer-and-Earn Programme, you agree to abide by the terms and conditions outlined herein.
7. Completed Referrals and Limit
A completed referral occurs when someone you referred is eligible for MetroFibre FTTH services (meaning they must be on the MetroFibre network), signs up, and activates their service. This includes requesting a quote from MetroFibre for FTTH services and completing the necessary actions to become a MetroFibre FTTH Direct customer.
8. Restrictions
To ensure fair participation, certain restrictions apply:
§ Participants must be MetroFibre FTTH Direct customers to qualify.
§ Referrals must be new and first-time users of MetroFibre services.
§ Referral methods must comply with applicable laws and regulations.
§ You understand and agree that you must not use referral methods that are bothersome to the recipients. Moreover, your participation in the Referral Program must not violate the applicable law, including but not limited to anti-Spam legislation, which is mass distribution of unsolicited messages.
§ You must not publish our Referral Program on any sites or platforms that house any Adult Content, Alcohol, Tobacco, Gambling, Games and Online Casinos, Political Content, and any form of illegal activities.
§ You must not at any time, invite or refer people who are unknown to you.
§ You must only use our Refer-and-Earn Programme for personal use and refrain from its use for commercial purposes.
9. Term and Termination
The Refer-and-Earn Programme will run from 13 May 2024 to 31 March 2025. This date can be extended or restricted. MetroFibre reserves the right to terminate the Programme at any time, including your participation or the availability of its benefits.
10. Exclusive Relationship
§ You understand and agree that you are only the User of our services and/or products, and refrain from implying any other affiliation or legal relationship with us.
§ You understand and agree that you are never authorized to legally bind our company.
§ You must never create any materials that contain our branding, trademark, (part of) our corporate identity.
§ By participating in the Refer-and-Earn Programme you must not represent yourself in duplicate, agent or intermediary of our company.
11. Privacy and Information
§ Participants are responsible for respecting the privacy rights of their referrals and providing them with relevant terms and conditions and privacy policies.
§ You undertake to respect the privacy rights of the people you invite to our Refer-and-Earn Programme.
§ When referring other people, you must always inform them about the applicable terms and conditions and privacy policy. You must do so before they participate in the Refer-and-Earn Programme, and leave their personal information.
12. Amendments
MetroFibre may amend the terms and conditions of the Refer-and-Earn Programme at any time. Participants will be notified of any changes.
13. Violations and Termination
§ MetroFibre reserves the right to cancel rewards or participation in the Programme in case of violations or misuse.
§ In the event that we suspect any violations of these terms or otherwise tampering with, fraud or unreasonable use of our Refer-and-Earn Programme, we may in our sole discretion cancel the distribution of any benefit or reward.
§ If you are a contractor or affiliate of our company, we may restrict your participation in the Refer-and-Earn Programme, and we may restrict or cancel your participation with immediate effect.
§ You must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, and refrain from violating any third-party rights. These rights include any copyright, trademark or other proprietary rights.
14. Disclaimer and Indemnification
§ Participants acknowledge that MetroFibre offers the Programme on an "as is" basis and disclaims any warranties or guarantees.
§ We disclaim our responsibility for any information that is incorrect or has errors.
§ Our Refer-and-Earn Programme is based on our best efforts. You acknowledge and agree that we can never guarantee any benefit or result from participating in the Programme.
15. Applicable Law
The terms and conditions of the Programme are governed by South African law, including but not limited to consumer protection laws such as the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) of 2008, and data protection laws such as the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) of 2013.
